Korres Haircare - The Review

Earlier this year I was sent a variety of Korres products to try. In among these were the Korres Sunflower and Mountain tea hair range. I am always skeptical about trying new hair products, mainly as I am fairly happy with my original hair routine.

I wanted to give these a fair trial so I have almost come to the end of these, and heres what I thought.

These are a really nice range, unlike most Korres shower products the scent is very light, but it is a lovely lovely smell all the same. It does stay after washing but it's nowhere near as strong as their showergels. For those of you that don't like overpowering scents I'd say you'd be fine with these. I personally love Korres products for their strong bold scents.

Korres Sunflower & Mountain Tea Shampoo £10 for 250ml

Korres Sunflower and Mountain Tea Shampoo is a colour protecting, deep moisturising shampoo for chemically treated (dyed/ permed) hair. With organic extracts of dittany, marjoram & mountain tea from the island of Crete.

Benefits:

Sunflower and Mountain tea, natural source of polyphenols, protect hair colour and sheen from frequent shampooing, styling and sun exposure.

These all come in lovely sleek packaging, the design is good and it's easy to get the right amount of product each time.

As far as shampooing goes, this is really mild and gentle on the scalp and yet it made my scalp and hair feel super cleansed and 100% squeaky clean without drying out the hair.

All round this is a really great shampoo and it can be purchased here

Korres Sunflower & Mountain Tea Conditioner £10 for 250ml

The conditioner contains similar ingredients and helps to further the benefit to your hair. It is a very cream like consistency and manages to condition the hair without leaving any greasy residue. It washes out well and does leave my locks feeling conditioned,  it can be purchased here

Korres Sunflower & Mountain Tea Hair Mask £10 for 125ml

Key Ingredients:

Hydrolysed wheat protein  - Film forming, moisturising and conditioning without build-up effect
Sea Lavender - Increases hair hydration and hair protection against static electricity, resulting in a easy combing effect.
Vitamin B3 and Provitamin B5 - Improves the shine, the feel and the flexibility of the hair, also protecting it against mechanical damage. In general they help make the hair more resistant to environmental stress.
Vitamin B complex - Offers a complete restoration of the hair.

I managed to use this hair mask on each occasion that I washed my hair without it causing any build up. I have particularly dry hair and especially dry ends where the hair is most brittle from colouring.

This too has a pleasant scent, it offers a little more conditioning power than the standard conditioner and penetrates deep to help smooth out dry hair and avoid split ends.

This can be purchased here

In all I am really impressed with this range, my hairs in great condition and is feeling nicely hydrated. I would re purchase this going forward for the subtle yet beautiful scent and great conditioning power.

Korres Basil Lemon body collection | Review

If your looking for a range of truly refreshing body care products then I have to say these are them. For stockists please click on the below headings for the link.

Korres Basil Lemon Body Scrub £12 for 150ml

I use this product first in my shower. It's a deep cleansing body scrub, which is ideal for sore muscles and to give a really clean and refreshed feeling after exercise or exertion. This helped to make me feel invigorated and energized after a work out.

This product combines ground Bamboo with Jojoba beads which helps to remove dead skin cells. Sodium, Magnesium, Zinc and Manganese assist in restoring energy to skin cells and hydrating the skin.

I use this product after the scrub to get myself really clean, it gives a really super clean feel whilst not drying my skin out. It made my underarms feel deodorized after an intense workout. Wheat proteins help to form a protective film on the skin, maintaining its natural moisture level. Active Aloe, rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, Zinc and antioxidant enzymes, enhances the immune system of the skin. Furthermore, due to its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, Active Aloe helps reduce the visible signs of ageing.

This Moisturising body milk is fantastic for adding a little more moisture to your skin. It smells just as good as as the scrub and shower gel. The scent is a little more diluted and smells somewhat lighter.

Key Ingredients:
The combination of Almond oil, active Aloe, provitamin B5 and Shea butter which provides long-lasting hydration whilst making skin supplen. Almond, especially the sweet variety, is known for its inflammatory and immune-boosting effects. Almond oil, with its soothing properties, when applied regularly, nourishes extra dry skin. It also works as an effective skin cleanser without causing any irritations to the skin.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis

- Dermatologically Tested
- Paraben Free
- Mineral Oil Free
- Silicone Free
- Propylene Glycol Free
- Ethanolamine Free
- Enriched with Active Plant Extracts

I have loved using these products and feel they will be especially good when the weather gets warmer too. The scent is really gorgeous and lemony with a hint of basil.

These are a must to give a try, whats more you can purchase the showergel and body milk in miniature sizes for £3 (40ml) to try.

Purchase the shower gel here!

Korres | Wild Rose skincare range | Review

Hi All,

Thanks for tuning in with me today for my latest Korres Skin Care review, this time I'll be focussing on their facial creams and treatments.

They very kindly sent me 3 full sized products from their Wild Rose range to try. I absolutely love anything rose themed so of course I was thrilled about this.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream - Oily to Combination Skin 40ml | £20

I have been using this moisturiser in the mornings, it is quite a thick cream and I often make the mistake of applying too much. So far my skin has reacted really well to this cream, no breakouts or irritation, just hydrated happy skin.

This contains Wild Rose oil which is rich in vitamin C and offers significant ability to repair fine lines and skin discolorations, making this product ideal for me and my freckly sun damaged skin.

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Repair Sleeping Facial 40ml | £26

I thought that this would be a little more effort but it couldn't be simpler, you apply this before bed and wake up with revitalised skin. I really did notice a significant difference the first time I used this little beauty.

This also contains Wild Rose oil, and in addition vitamin C and hyaluronic acid for softer, smoother, radiant skin by morning as promised.

Try these 2 great products in this small affordable kit | only £10 here

Korres Wild Rose Peeling Mask AHA 10% 40ml | £26

I requested to try this product as I have had quite a lot of sun exposure and I have lots of freckles which I would love to tone down a little. I also want to try and reverse any effects that the sun damage may have had on my skin, I know I wont find any miracles here but it's worth looking after your skin irrespective of your past record.

After reading up on AHA's I decided these would be a good choice, to find out more about AHA's and sun damaged skin see here. I would always recommend doing your research before using a product that contains ingredients unknown to you.

It's recommended that you use this product 2 times per week and that you are careful with UV exposure for 1 week after using this product, i.e use sunscreen.

It is also worth using a scrub on your skin the following day to remove dead skin cells.

I have now used this about 5 times, the first time it stung a little and I have read that this is quite normal. I must have toughened up a little as I have had no stinging sensation when using this product since then. I have noticed a slight difference in the pigmentation of my freckles, however it's still early days.

My skin feels good after using the product and it hasn't caused any side effects whatsoever, I will be continuing use of this product and if I see that the results are truly amazing I will post again on this subject.

Overall, each of these products smells pleasant, its a light and fresh rose scent and is in no way over powering.

Each of the creams has benefitted my skin and caused no ill effects.

The only downside, and this is tiny, is that all 3 jars are the same colour and shape and my eyesight is rubbish, especially in the morning, without my glasses I struggle to see what each of these is. The labelling and every aspect are very similar so I need to reach for my glasses unfortunately before I proceed. Don't let this minor detail deter you from buying the products however.

Korres as a company is so consistent and every product I have tried from them has been of exceptional quality and they get a huge thumbs up from me!

Korres Lip Care Products - Review

My last Korres review was about shower gels and body milks and as promised here is the next instalment, this time lip care products.

I was very lucky to be sent these 2 gorgeous lip care products which are both fantastic in different ways.

Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Stick with SPF 15, £8 for 15ml -can be purchased here

This is a great lip balm type product, it's super important to wear SPF factor all year round because although there isn't a great deal of sun you are still exposed to potentially harmful amounts of UV rays each day.

I am quite addicted and have got almost halfway through the stick in a short space of time. This makes my lips feel really moisturised and conditioned, I think this is down to the shea butter, sunflower wax and mandarin oil that are key ingredients in this item.

I'm not a fan of anything orange scented, so when I saw this was mandarin I wasn't sure what I'd think, however it smells really lovely and not like the synthetic orange scent that I am not fond of.

The only  drawback I would say here is that although the stick appears to be a lovely rich colour it is pretty much colourless when it's applied to my lips, perhaps the other colours are more pigmented, I am unsure, however this wont discourage me from using this product because the benefits outweigh that little detail for me.

Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter £8 for 6g - this can be purchased here

One of the active ingredients is pomegranate extract which contains vitamins A, C and E giving it antioxidant properties.

This pomegranate lip butter was an ideal addition to my handbag. It's essentially a lip gloss in a pot, the colour is really lovely and it's not sticky like your standard lip glosses. It smells really pleasant and feels great, I do reapply this one quite a bit as the colour doesn't last for ages but with little top ups here and there throughout the day its great. Its opaque and leaves your lips looking juicy with a great shine.

I hope you liked my review, I would definitely recommend this brand for great natural products which use fantastic ingredients and all seem to have some antioxidant and or other positive properties.

Please join me next Monday @ 12:00 UK time for my final  Korres review.
