I thought I'd just quickly share with you a couple of sites that you can use in order to get freebies, win items and even find printable coupons.
So here we go, lets get started.
One of my absolute favorites is SuperSavvyMe
1. https://www.supersavvyme.co.uk/
The website is full of fantastic lifestyle ideas and eliminates the need to buy expensive magazines which tend to cover the same topics. This site also has regular competitions, scroll down the home page and there are usually 2 or 3 to choose from,
All you need to do is sign up and then you can enter competitions and giveaways, along with SuperSavvyCircle which is their product testing panel, so far I have been sent free Flash cleaning fluid, Unstoppables laundry beads, Febreze and also an Ambi Pur wall plug in.
I have also received multiple freebies and prize wins from them,
This website is purely about products from the P&G range such as MaxFactor, Olay, Ariel, Pantene and Flash to name a few. As such they also offer some great money saving printable coupons too. Definitely worth a look.
2. https://www.mymail.co.uk/home
Each month this website offers new printable vouchers, sometimes meaning you can pickup a free product, for instance I printed a £1 Covent garden soup voucher and the soup was £1 in Tesco. Win!
3. Tesco Club card
OK so, this isn't a website but you can sign up online here http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/
With this you will receive tailored coupons based on what you buy and also they are known to send god threshold spend coupons, I have just had a £7 of a £50 spend coupon and also one for £7 off Tesco finest meats (I bought a joint costing £7.48), therefore got 1.87kg of pork shoulder for £0.48p
The great thing about the above sites is that they all offer coupons and deals which require little effort unlike the orchard at tesco ad BzzAgent which are great but require a little more effort. Although SuperSavvyMe is similar to BzzAgent, it also offers free coupons, competitions and giveaways that dont require the extra work that a Word of Mouth marketing campaign requires.

Frugal forages | Blackberries | Tomatoes
About 2 weeks ago I dragged my other half along blackberry picking.
It's very spiky, so be careful - but there was an abundance of these along one of our quiet roads on the island.
We were probably picking for about half an hour and we got near to 900g of berries, for nothing!

Over the next week this made 2 Blackberry, apple and date crumbles and a pie - best of all the blackberries didn't cost a thing.
If this is something your interested in its definitely worth a go, last year I got a huge haul of these that I ended up freezing a large batch and making jam to last for months.

This is somewhere between pie and crumble, I didn't have enough pastry for the top, so thought on my feet. With some salted caramel ice cream this went down a treat.

Finally, on the subject of foraging I have harvested the last of my Romanian Dwarf tomatoes, here are the lovely and sweet little beauties.
Did you grow any goodies this year? Or perhaps you've been foraging, please leave me a comment below.

Little update
Dear readers,
Just a quick message to let you know that I will be reducing the number of weekly posts that I do, I have been posting 4 times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) and whilst I am enjoying this I am finding I have little spare time.
So, I will now aim for 2 posts per week, as usual I will post these at 12:00 UK time, and these will now be 1 on Monday and 1 on Friday.
I realise that my posts have been very review heavy too, and I will continue with my reviews because I love it, but I will also be focusing a little more on frugal/lifestyle/foodie posts too.
If I have a lot of reviews to complete at any one time I may do some ad hoc posts outside of my usual days, these would likely be on a Wednesday or a Saturday.
Please let me know what kind of posts you would like to see more of, if you have any suggestions comment below- I'd be really grateful.
Thanks for reading

Frugal Cookie | What I do | How to be FRUGAL/Savvy
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post to recap on some of the things I now do since challenging myself with frugal living.
Firstly a little about why I am doing this, it's not to be cheap, it's to be smart and efficient with my money. I want my money to work harder for me, essentially I love spending and buying new things, however I need to be careful. With adulthood there is responsibilities such as mortgages, bills, rent, etc, basically, enjoy being young! Enjoy living rent free and appreciate the benefits it brings while you can - that would be my advice to you.
Before buying our house I spent most of what I earned without much thought about 'what if?', these days I have to save for things that may or may not happen such as the need to replace a boiler or a detrimental piece of machinery or furniture within my house. It's worth being sensible, redundancy is very common in today's current situation and I've been there before.
Don't get me wrong, I still splash out on things but in order to do this I make sure that I'm saving in other areas.
Here are some of the things that I have done to date, hopefully these may even give you some inspiration too.
1. Streamlining/ getting the best deal
There are so many Freebies out there it is unreal! Online there are many freebies, see below for some of the sources that I have used.
3. Review and Campaign freebies | (WOMM) Word of Mouth Marketing Campaigns
I have received a considerable amount of free items to review from the below links.
With these websites all you need to do is sign up and provide information about yourself and your shopping habits, they will ask you to complete surveys from time to time, usually this is the gage whether you are compatible with a product and whether they can then offer it to you to test.
Once you receive your free product you then normally have around 60 days to try it and spread the word about your experiences. There is also activities such as sharing on facebook, twitter, submitting photos and videos and more.
The more surveys you do and the more active you are the more chance you get for future campaigns, I have found I go for ages without being offered one and then all of a sudden I get 3 invites.
The campaigns can be for anything, to date I have received lots of food items (they will usually send vouchers, especially for fresh food), body and skincare items, I even received a Dyson hoover worth £420 form a campaign, I would recommend doing this if you like to try new things, or even if you just love a freebie! Remember though, if you don't complete any of the campaign activities afterwards it is unlikely that you will receive further items.
You can make a few quid completing online surveys, however this can take time so I personally don't do these as I work full time and for the return I would get its not worth giving up my evenings.
Another way that I have received quite a lot of review items is by approaching companies asking to try products in exchange for a review. I also welcome companies contacting me to ask me to review items, if you would like to send me something to review please feel free to get in touch by email: rebellious_cookie@hotmail.com
6. Be inspired
Finally I haven't being doing this alone, there are so many people who have influenced me along the way from thrifty friends and relatives to YouTubers and bloggers alike. I will be putting up a post soon sharing some of the best frugal/freebies bloggers and YouTubers around, please watch this space.
I hope this post have gone some way toward inspiring you to use your money a little more wisely and perhaps to seek out relevant freebies where possible. As always if you have any questions please feel free to comment below or contact my by email (details on my Contact Me page or above).
Please leave me comment below if you could like me to expand on any of the topics I have mentioned above. I do plan to do some more posts going forward where I go into more detail on certain aspects such as sourcing review items and WOMM campaigns.

Here are some of the things that I have done to date, hopefully these may even give you some inspiration too.
1. Streamlining/ getting the best deal
- Swapped from a mobile contract costing £35 per month to a PAYG top up of £20 per month.
- Less visits to the hairdresser, gone back to natural roots and rather than paying £60 every 6 weeks I am now spending £30 - £40 2-3 times per year.
- Less visits to beautician and home waxing saving £25 per month
- Selling lots of clothing, furniture and things that are no longer required on local facebook groups
- I am shopping smarter, I have swapped certain products for cheaper brands and sometimes even a stores own brand, there are some things I wouldn't dream of swapping and other things where I wish I'd done it sooner! I am also using coupons and vouchers wherever I can, take a look at in store magazines such as that from Boots, Tesco and pets at home as they usually contain some great coupons.
- SUPERSAVVY ME - Frequently has coupons for Proctor and Gamble products such as Pantene, Ariel and many well known brands. They also run a lot of competitions and do several giveaways each month.
- MYMAIL - Printable coupons, sometimes for the amount that the product is on offer for, therefore sometimes FREE.
- CARING EVERYDAY - Printable coupons from Johnson & Johnson brands.
There are so many Freebies out there it is unreal! Online there are many freebies, see below for some of the sources that I have used.
- SOPOST - This is a fantastic freebie tool, businesses use this company to distribute free samples of their products to the general public and potential future consumers. I have received in excess of 10 great beauty and food freebies this way. Some SOPOST are obtainable by entering a persons email, others you will need facebook for and some you will need twitter for, the idea is you send one to a friend and they send one to you. Obviously in order to receive the item you will need to provide your name and address.
- GOOGLE FREEBIES - I googles freebies in UK, you will come across lots of resources which will point you in the right direction of the latest freebies. Here are just some of the websites - http://www.latestfreestuff.co.uk/ , https://www.magicfreebiesuk.co.uk/ , http://www.freestufffinder.co.uk/

- BZZAGENT UK
- ORCHARD AT TESCO
- TESCO HOME PANELS
- SUPERSAVVY ME
- TOLUNA
- AMAZON REVIEWS - For this you just sign up to the website and you will need to have an amazon account. There is some free items and some really discounted items which you can have in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have just started doing this and have received a few freebies this way, thanks to Amber for the great idea (check out her blog here)
- BLOGGERS REQUIRED - This is a great resource, this lists blogger projects that you will need to apply to, if you are accepted you will usually be sent an item to review, each project will differ make sure you read the description to see if its definitely something your interested in.
- BRANDBACKER - This works in a similar way to bloggers required, you will need to apply to trial a product, therefore you will need to sell yourself with an effective pitch.
You can make a few quid completing online surveys, however this can take time so I personally don't do these as I work full time and for the return I would get its not worth giving up my evenings.
- INBOX POUNDS - Along with paid surveys inbox pounds also does paid emails, they will send an email into your inbox and you can get a penny for clicking on the link - this takes a long time but it does mount up and it's very little effort, I am on nearly £20, yes it's taken me a year but all I have had to do is visit a few websites.
- TOLUNA

Healthyfoodbrands.co.uk Products | Review
Hi All,
I have done a lot of skincare, body and beauty product reviews lately so I thought today I would change the subject to another of my favourite topics.. Food!
I wrote to http://www.healthyfoodbrands.co.uk/ to ask if I could try some of the products in the ranges that they stock, they very kindly sent me 3 products from Rayner's essentials and a bottle of Honegar.

In addition to the products they also kindly provided me with some recipes, which is just as well because I dont tend to use malt or molasses in my everyday cooking or baking.
These are cooking items but are less mainstream than your honey and golden syrup, these also double up as health foods and have many great health properties.
One of the recipes I received was for malted bagels, I have never made bagels so I thought 'Why not?'
The recipe wasn't 100% clear, and some of the ingredients were impossible for me to get on the day, for instance - fresh yeast and strong white flour.
I had to make do with plain flour mixed with a small amount of strong white that I had left, and another substitute of fast powdered yeast.
So, here's a loose idea of what I did. I used 500g flour (preferably strong white flour), a tsp of salt and enough lukewarm water to create an elastic (but not too wet) dough, I used about 350-80ml. 7g dry fast yeast. I also added to tsps of malt extract to the flour and salt mix.
I mixed the yeast in the water first and then added to the flour and salt mix. I used my Kitchenaid artisan with the dough hook to knead for 5-8 minutes until really elastic.
Once the dough was made I made it into a ball and oiled the bowl before putting it back in, I then left it for 1 hour and 15 minutes to rise in my proving drawer, if you don't have a proving drawer it will take longer. leave it in a warm place until risen to double size.
After the dough had risen I knocked it back and kneaded for a further 3-5 minutes, then cut it into 8 pieces. Once this was done I then placed onto a silicone sheet and put back into the proving drawer for a further 30 minutes to rise.
I used my finger to poke a hole in the bagels bearing in mind that these would eventually shrink.
The next step was to boil the bagels for 4 minutes (2 on each side) in water with 1 tsp of malt extract. They did pretty much double in size as the recipe suggested.
Once boiled I laid these on a silicone sheet and have them a little egg wash before sprinkling on sesame seeds.

These were put into a preheated oven at 190c for 20-25 minutes.
and here is the final result. Yes they look a bit wonky but they tasted brilliant and I really enjoyed making them.

I had these on day one with soup and then the next morning with scrambled eggs and they were delicious.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to the company for their generosity and to Stephanie for all of her help along the way.
Please check out this company and the products detailed on their website. It really was great to be able to combine health with baking.

Review Items - 10 October 2015
1. Herpatch Coldsore Serum, £7.99 Boots. I applied to try this through bloggers required by using the following link - Sign up here
It is asked that the product can be reviewed within 2 weeks of receipt, whilst I may not get a coldsore in that time I will test the product out to see what it does.
2. Flint+Flint - SPF Hand Hero £24 for 75ml, can be purchased here
This smells really gorgeous and I could smell it before opening the bottle, I can't wait to try this. I am going to have this at my desk and use it as my primary hand cream for now.

3. Healthy Food Brands sent me some baking goodies and some recipes in order for me to test and review.
I said that I was a homebaker and this company kindly sent me baking products, however they are all fairly similar, whereas I know that the range consists of other more mainstream baking ingredients such as golden syrup and flavoured essences, etc.
Luckily I was also sent a recipe sheet, because malt doesn't usually feature in my baking so I am looking forward to leaving my comfort zone and trying something new.
4. Pevonia kindly sent me their winter relaxation gift box to review. This retails at £30 and can be purchased here.
This brand is very luxurious and specializes in creating that spa vibe at home. This kit is an ideal way of spending some 'me' time and generally de-stressing.
5. InstaNatural Retinol Moisturiser and Serum with 2.5% Retinol
I have tried quite a few products from this company and so far so good, as such I am expecting more great things from these guys.
I am looking forward to giving all of these things a try, so please keep checking back for my upcoming reviews!

Teissiere 0% Grenadine - Review
As part of a campaign for BzzAgent I was sent a bottle of Teissiere 0% Grenadine to try.
What's this then? Grenadine with sugar, no way.. YES!
I was a little dubious because grenadine is know for it's sickly sweet sugar kick, I have to say this didn't disappoint and had a fraction of the calories.
The bottle suggests having it as a drink with water, but for £3.50 ish, I would rather enjoy this with cocktails or prosecco. If I want cordial I will go out and Ribena or vimto.
This is especially lovely with chilled soda water or lemonade, nice and simple whilst also sweet and satisfying.
This also makes a really refreshing cocktail of vodka, orange juice, Teissiere 0%, lemonade and ice.
I would recommend this as an essential item for your cocktail cupboard.

Pantene Expert Collection Age Defy - Review
Last year I was sent these from Super Savvy Me, they sat in my cupboard for a little until one day I ran out of shampoo and gave these a try.
Initially I was out of by these as they're called age defy, however now I think of it, my hair is quite long so the tips are quite old!
I got on really well with this shampoo, it smells lovely, sort fruity with a hint of pineapple.
My hair was left feeling nice and smooth, but also noticeably hydrated and the dry ends were a little more cared for.
This retails at £5.99 for 250ml of shampoo and £5.99 for 200ml conditioner which is fairly expensive for a drugstore shampoo.
I will be sticking to my usual Tigi bedhead shampoo which comes in 700ml bottles and lasts for ages, another plus point on this is that the conditioner and shampoo are in equal proportions.
Have you tried this? please feel free to leave any comments below.

5 Quick Money Making Tips
Hi Everyone,
Recently I posted 5 Quick Saving Tips, this turned out to be a really popular and much viewed post so I thought I'd share with you another post with some more frugal living tips, this time rather than money saving I am focusing on making extra money!
Recently I posted 5 Quick Saving Tips, this turned out to be a really popular and much viewed post so I thought I'd share with you another post with some more frugal living tips, this time rather than money saving I am focusing on making extra money!
- Sell, Sell, Sell - Have a good sort out, most of us have 'stuff', so much 'stuff' we don't know what to do with. The kind of 'stuff' will differ from person to person, but if your not using it, and your not going to - then SELL! I have recently started selling using local groups on facebook, mainly I have sold clothing that me and my partner don't use, this has been fairly productive. I have made a few hundred pounds and have managed to organise my a little more. You could sell on Facebook, Ebay, Amazon, or even locally at car boot sales.
- Make, Make, Make - Are you crafty or perhaps your talented in the kitchen? Is there something that you can make to sell at a profit; have a look into things such as jewellery, knitted/sewn items, candles, there is so many projects out there that you could turn into profit given the right skills and target market. Check out www.pinterest.com for inspiration on hand crafted items that you could make to sell. You could sell your hand crafted goodies at craft fairs, on Ebay or even using Etsy.com
- Surveys - Doing online surveys is another way to earn a couple of extra £££'s, these take a little while for the funds to mount up. If you have spare time then it could be worth a try. I am not the most patient person and have managed to earn just £50 using these over the last 2 years, but I really haven't been that proactive. Here's a list with some of the top survey sites to check out if your interested: Click here
- Rent out your space - Do you have a spare room? Maybe a parking space you don't need? Failing that, some spare storage space. You would rent a room, parking space or even some storage space.
- A bit on the side - This could be a weekend job or if you want something more temporary a Christmas or seasonal job. Casual work and odd jobbing is also another good way to make extra cash and you can work the hours you want and fit it in with your lifestyle.

Juvela sample pack and recipe
Recently I signed
up for the Juvela sample pack as I have seen this on quite a few freebiers
videos.
Juvela are such a
great company and the sample pack is very comprehensive and offers a great
choice of gluten and wheat free products.
10 years ago there
was nothing like the selection of gluten and wheat free goodies that you can
buy these days.
To sign up for a free pack see their website below.
https://www.juvela.co.uk/just-diagnosed/register-for-your-free-juvela-starter-pack/

I received each of the above items, they came in a huge box and it was such a fantastic freebie which I would recommend to anyone who wants to try gluten and wheat free products. To see me unboxing my Juvela pack please check out my Youtube video here!
The first thing that I have tried from this product range is their white rolls and I have to say they were rather good all things considered. On day one I have 1 with butter and pate, it is a different texture to ordinary bread and it is quite spongy.
I liked the taste but as with many gluten free products the texture was different. The next day I had the idea of heating the bread, we were having spaghetti Bolognese and didn't have any garlic bread in the house, so that is where experiment began.
The process is so simple. I heated the oven to about 190c, mixed butter, parsley, minced garlic salt and pepper. I spread the butter mixture onto the breads and added a little Parmigiana Regiano cheese.

I then whacked them in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden...

..and voila! beautiful garlic bread which was enjoyed like any other garlic bread.
The trick to this gluten free bread is heat, it gives the bread a little crunch making it more convincing as BREAD!
Any questions, comment below or check out my contact page for my details.

Freebies 9/08/2015 - 15/08/2015
Hi everyone,
Here's what I recieved over the last week. I have been so busy recently and haven't been that active in requesting samples and review items but now I have a little more time I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of it!
1. Oz Naturals Retinol Moisturiser - I got this as a review item from Oz Naturals - review to follow soon, please keep an eye out for it.
2. InstaNatural Cellulite Cream - This is another item for me to review, I have tried the stretch mark and scar reduction cream from this brand and I was so impressed so I am expecting equally great things from this cream.
3. DHC X2 sample sachets - One is a conditioner and the other is a face mask. They are relatively small and look a long time to arrive but I will be giving them a go soon. To get these I just sent them an email asking if I could try something, I have seen this on many YouTube channels and blogs.
4. Elemis sachets -I wrote and asked if I could try their products and they sent me a good variety of different samples which I look forward to trying.
5. Aduna Baobab and Moringa sachets - I got these by completing my details on their website, they were offering the opportunity to try their moringa powder, baobab powder or both. This is such a great idea as it's not something I would usually choose, but as a free sample I am happy to try it and make my mind up based on my experience.
6. £3 off Tesco finest cheese and a further x3 £1 off coupons for friends and family. I was sent this as part of a campaign for Orchard at Tesco, similar to Bzz Agent, once I have tried some of the product I will need to write a review and complete campaign activity.

Sacla Red Pesto - Review
A little while back I contacted Sacla asking if I could try their products. They very kindly responded and provided me with £4 worth of vouchers. Most of their pesto's are on offer in Tesco right now for £2. With my coupons I bought a Sundried Tomato pesto and some artichokes in a lemon and rosemary infused oil (£2.99), so I got the 2 items for 99p, bargain!
I am going to share a few simple recipes which involve the sundried tomato pesto.
This was a very simple and super quick mid week dinner. All I did here was added 2 tbsps. of the pesto to the chicken and left for 10 mins. I then cooked on 180 until the juices ran clear. I served with chips and it was the perfect quick fix.
The next recipe is something I made for lunch to take to work and it was an absolute hit with my boyfriend who has asked for it to be a regular thing.
Mini prosciutto and sundried tomato pesto frittatas
Here's the recipe
8 Slices prosciutto (about £1.80 in Tesco, but varies on weight)
3 med/large eggs
Splash of milk
30g cheddar cheese (you can add your preferred cheese)
1 Tbsp of chopped parsley (chives will do, or you can omit this)
a few chopped sundried tomatoes
1 Tbsp of Sundried tomato pesto
for these I use whatever I have in, so if you don't have any milk don't add any, again same with the cheese. If you have green pesto that's okay too, and if you haven't got any sundried tomatoes you could omit these or even use some olives , chorizo or even some artichokes! The prosciutto could be substituted with ham or even left out completely providing you oil your tin properly.
1.Lightly oil your muffin tin, then line each of the holes with a slice of prosciutto, don't worry if there are small gaps.
2.Whisk your eggs and milk with your parsley, grated cheese and pesto. Season with a little black pepper or nutmeg if desired. I wouldn't recommend any extra salt as the prosciutto is quite salty.
3.Add to oven preheated to 200c, check after 15 minutes, mine were quite risen and golden on top which is what you want.
4. Enjoy hot or cold!

Lipcote - Review
At just £3.69 (from boots) this is a beauty must have and an absolute bargain. 1 small bottle contains 100 applications and importantly this product works.
I tried this with a bright lipstick - I find they look great for about half an hour, a drink or meal later and its gone. I seldom wear bright lipsticks purely because they don't seem to stay on and it's much more noticeable when they're fading throughout the day.
To this situation I now know the solution is easy, Lipcote.

Just applied 2 hours later 5 hours later
I managed to keep my lipstick looking fresh after a workout, a meal, several glasses of wine and many kisses. This product is definitely a keeper.
The instructions are simple; apply your lipstick, blot, apply a coat of lipcote (it's just like applying nail polish), leave this to try and repeat the process once more. This left my lips looking bright and beautiful with colour that wasn't budging which is exactly what I wanted.
This product did make my lips tingle a little at first and it doesn't smell great but these issues are so temporary they're not worth worrying about!
Lipcote can be purchased at all the major pharmacies and also online, for further details see their website - http://lipcote.com/
To show you how great this product is I did a little experiment with some tea cups, one I sipped from with lipstick applied and no Lipcote and the other with lipstip and Lipcote, the difference is impressive!
I tried this with a bright lipstick - I find they look great for about half an hour, a drink or meal later and its gone. I seldom wear bright lipsticks purely because they don't seem to stay on and it's much more noticeable when they're fading throughout the day.
